It's the year 2051. Mankind has conquered space decades ago. The
heavily overpopulated Earth is ravaged by wars and poverty. On Moon a
small but prosperous society increases it's power. Between Earth and
Moon the situation is tensely expectant. The pawns in this power
struggle are the populated asteroids and space stations in orbit. At
the moment the governments of Earth and Moon and many big
corporations, the power of which has grown bigger than that of many
states, are struggling for the control of these orbiters. 

In Moons's parliament the extremist parties, which have risen to
power, are quite openly advocating for separation from Earth. On Earth
only the big corporations and the quarrelsome world-government hold
any practical power. Mars, the asteroid belt and water-rich Europe are
at the moment the objects of the most vehement struggle. Between
corporations all means are acceptable and therefore the most notable
corporations have their own armies, which look only after their
interests.
